Otherworldly Sweets is a luxury chocolate & confections brand on a mission to turn sweet indulgences into a curated experience.

Everything that we make is meant to simulate a particular flavor in the most unique way imaginable. Any time that you try something from our kitchen, it becomes a multi-sensory experience.Just as all good things come to an end, most flavors of our products are only available seasonally, in limited batches. In order to constantly push the boundaries of what people believe can be made with chocolate, our chocolatier is always looking to create new and unique experiences.

Jesse Koones Head Chocolatier

Our head chocolatier is the owner and visionary of Otherworldly Sweets.

Jesse’s career in kitchens may have started as a prep cook in 2017, but has had a lifelong obsession with sweets and art that trace back to his childhood. It was never just about the sugar, and it was always about the mental stimulation that each piece of candy provided him.

Graduated in 2021 with a degree in pastry arts from the Culinary Institute of America, Jesse was ambitious to make his mark in NYC. And Jesse made that mark by working at Michelin Star restaurants like Junoon, Aquavit, Oiji Mi, and One White Street. Throughout his time working in fine dining restaurants, he also worked at chocolate shops and studied under famous chocolatiers like Luis Amado and Håkan Mertensson.

Our Products

The flagship product of Otherworldly Sweets is the chocolate bonbon, a hand-painted chocolate shell with endless combinations of flavorful fillings.

Unlike the traditional bonbon, our products are not simply one-noted chocolate ganaches enrobed in more chocolate. They are not just little squares of brown with bland fillings.

Our bonbons maintain elegance, while brandishing bold colors, custom designs, unique flavors, and appealing textures. With attention to detail, each flavor of bōn will taste exactly as they sound, but in the most appealing way.
